The Society of Living Traditions supports the revitalization of culture and heritage by bringing together, in a community setting, artists and scholars and young people who, through this interaction, aim to inspire a new generation.
The Society seeks ways to reintroduce authentic living traditions to individual communities with the goal of helping rebuild a sense of identity through a revitalized knowledge of each community’s unique and creative roots.
The Society promotes understanding and preservation of traditional heritage, and fosters communication between peoples, through several means. These include media, cross-cultural artistic events, and conferences.
